Meet the Brasshouse Team

Jennifer Harrison BEM (Chief Executive Officer & Company Secretary)

My role is to provide leadership and be overall responsible for the organisation’s operations, administration and financial management. Working closely with the board of trustees, we develop the organisation’s long-term strategy, budget and business plan and ensure it complies with the law and regulations.

Acting as ambassador for NSDT, my responsibilities is to provide the public face for campaigns and building of relationships with customers, and partners. I also play a key role in motivating and engaging volunteers, staff, beneficiaries and prospective donors.

Pamela Sahonta (Finance & Administration Officer)

My role is to work with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the accurate preparation and maintenance of financial records for the organisation in accordance with our policies and procedures and in accordance with legislative and statutory requirements.

I also am responsible for providing an effective and efficient administrative support to the Trust including members of the Board,  of Trustees, Sub Group and the wider staff team and volunteers.  I am also responsible for the overall management of our room booking and venue hire enterprise for the Trust.

Alex Price (Administrative Assistant)

My role is to provide administrative support to the organisation in order to ensure the smooth running of the office and its systems.

I have a strong background in providing excellent customer service through telephone, email, visitor enquiries and face to face with customers too.  I support the Finance & Administration Officer in the venue hire service to maintain a professional organisational image at all times.

 

Shirley Bate (Community Development Worker)

My role aims to support a range of people and organisations to bring programmes aimed at reducing poverty and helping to improve the lives of people who live in the North Smethwick Area.

I want to work with local people to develop skills around the individual in ensuring local services reflect and meets their needs and preferences, but also that everyone has their own skills, knowledge, experience and attributes which they bring with them to help shape the community in which they live.

Sylvia Allen (Out of School Club Manager)

My role is to develop and manage an Ofsted Registered Out of School Holiday Club appropriate for children aged 5-13 years and who have a range of abilities and interests. I am responsible for a team of staff to deliver effective and structured activities and  lead in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the scheme.

I have an extensive background in childcare and managing nurseries and out of school club provision.

Chris Edwards (Facilities Manager)

My role is to manage the NSDT caretaking and cleaning team ensuring the centre is opened and securely closed for out-of-hours bookings during evenings and weekends, providing assistance as required e.g. ensuring hire space including communal areas are clean and presentable for the next booking. 

I also assist the Chief Executive Officer in ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are performed in a safe manner so that no risk to health and safety arises to myself, any other employee/volunteer or members of the public.

Adrian Howard (Caretaker)

My role is to support the organisation to ensure that the Brasshouse Community Centre is operational, safe and secure, during out of office hour operation. 

We remain in the centre and be a point of contact for the duration of the hire period. We ensure any hirer complies with the terms and conditions of hire including ensuring that the No Smoking policy is observed and that children are supervised by the hirer at all times amongst other duties.

 

Moin Uddin (Caretaker)

My role is to support the organisation to ensure that the Brasshouse Community Centre is operational, safe and secure, during out of office hour operation.

Peter Southall (Car Park Manager)

My role is as a car park manager for North Smethwick Development Trust for all home games of West Bromwich Albion FC.  Along with my team, we ensure the smooth and efficient running of the car parking operations and of the staff under our supervision at the Brasshouse Community Centre and Centro Car parks.
